Students are so perceptive

Usually on Wednesdays, I try to dress up. Shirt & tie. The whole nine. Dress for success right? The reason, however, is for my own personal celebration. It's hump day! That's just one reason. I always tell my colleagues it's my own personal celebration of the early release Wednesday :) Lame. I know. It really is just an excuse to get really dressed up once in a while. Anyhow, I digress from the real story.

Students usually take notice in when I put on the full get up. A few of them compliment the look. I'm not going to lie, it's nice that they notice. Today, a student said something so hilarious, I just had to share. I started to get my students ready to practice the lesson we're currently learning. As they all got to work, I started making my way back to my desk. A student stopped me and said, "Mr. A, you look nice today. Are you taking me out to dinner?" I love most of my students. She happens to be one of my favorite personalities. It doesn't hurt that she was a student of mine last year also. I'm reminded daily at how much I love my job with moments like these.

'til next time!
